Behold, the Author
|
Meet the AuthorHey, thanks for checking out my website!
My name is Evelyn Benvie (she/they). I consider myself to be the wooly jumper in a family of black sheep. Both a cynic and a romantic at heart, I write, well, a little bit of everything, but mostly queer-positive spec-fiction with strong characters, quirky romances, and (almost always) happy endings. Sometimes I'll try to be funny, to varying results. Find me, follow me, or learn more below! |
About the AuthorI grew up in small-town Connecticut, surrounded by the woods and bordered by the sea, so it was inevitable I become a writer of some sort. It's taken me a bit longer to make my official debut than I originally planned when I was ten, but the wait will be worth it in the end. (Maybe.)
I have degrees in English, Multimedia, and Liberal Arts - not that I do much with them. I work in a library but am not a librarian. I live in a perpetually-breaking old home with the cats I love and the family I tolerate, and spend my spare thinking about writing. Some days I even do the writing. Please continue to support me and my work as I meanders my way into full authordom. |

Dedicated to DiversityInclusion matters. As someone who has struggled to find accurate portrayals of my own sexuality in media, I understand this all too well. My goal is to present a wide range of vibrant and diverse characters, backgrounds, and viewpoints in my writing. I'm not conceited enough to think I'll always get it just right, but I will try.
We all matter, equally, and representation should be widely and easily accessible for everyone to read and enjoy. That is why I am dedicated to diversity. |
